Health and Safety Training Courses
Health and safety law requires employers to provide such information, instruction and training as is necessary
to ensure, so far as reasonably practicable, the Health and Safety of their employees.
Information, instruction and training requirements are an integral part of any organisation that wants to
achieve a positive and self-motivated safety culture. A training needs analysis should be carried out by
all businesses at all levels within the organisation including:
- Directors, particularly important following the enactment of corporate manslaughter;
- Senior and general managers;
- Current and new employees;
-
People with special responsibilities within the organisation such as first-aiders, manual handling
trainers, fire wardens etc; and
- Vulnerable persons such as young employees or those with disabilities.
Courses run by Health and Safety Mentor can be tailored to specific customer requirements and as the majority
are run in-house at your premises, all of the health and safety training has been created to provide the
delegates with not only classroom based presentations and exercises but also to get them practically stimulated
by making use of the risks presented by their place of work.
All of the Health and Safety Mentor trainers are members of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health
(IOSH) and have experience in a multitude of working environments.
